I’m getting an old Dell Inspiron E1505 upgraded to Windows 10.
I made it I installed ATI Radeon drivers on XP. All you must do is to download ASUS K52JR drivers for ATI Radeon 5470 HD (didn't try other drivers which might run as well) and edit CX94995.inf file (in XP driver's subdirectory of installation package) and modify subsytem number for 5470 entry. I have a HP DV6 with a A8-3500M APU and graphics Radeon HD 6620G. The latest Drivers 15.7 do not support the older APU's and Radeon graphics. The drivers that work best in Windows 10 for our older equipment is AMD Catalyst 15.6 Beta for Win 8.1. Please note you will also need the stop Windows 10 updates for the 15.7 drivers.
Most things are going well, but there are definitely some driver difficulties, the 1st of which are the graphics.
This comes via GreenReaper on the Microsoft forums, but I wanted to replicate it here just in case the post goes away: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-win_upgrade/no-windows-10-driver-for-amd-radeon-x1400/9e0afae5-e571-483d-b0e0-841ae6ae20c1?auth=1 Bedwars maps download.
(If you trust me, you can skip this whole part and simply download the zipped Windows 10 Radeon X1400 Win 10 driver)
First, download the driver from the Microsoft Update catalog:
